Arkansas Railroad Museum

She's a real beast at 368 tons. She measures 100 feet front to back. It takes 150 gallons of water and 15 gallons of oil a mile just to send her smokin' down the tracks. She's Engine 819, Pine Bluff's legendary queen of steam at the Arkansas Railroad Museum.

Engine 819 holds court with other rolling stock in the vintage shop buildings of the Cotton Belt Railway at Pine Bluff. The huge shop was once part of a chain of shops that kept engines and cars rolling along a huge rail system through the South.

Come see Engine 819 and the other vintage rolling stock on display. Located just off U.S. Highway 65. The Museum is open weekdays and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Special tours can be arranged by contacting the Visitors Bureau.

Entertainers Hall of Fame

In 1998 the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame opened its doors to the public, for the first time, with a permanent home. Located in the Pine Bluff Convention Center, a life size talking animatronic statue of Johnny Cash greets visitors with songs that he is well known for singing throughout his career. Other well-known Arkansas entertainers, both performing and non-performing, who have been inducted into the Hall have contributed artifacts that run the length of their careers. With twenty-seven present inductees, such as Art Porter, Sr., Lum & Abner, Mary Steenburgen, Al Green, The Browns, Randy Goodrum, Tracy Lawrence, Wayland Holyfield, Levon Helm, Charlie Rich, Conway Twitty and still more to come, this is an attraction that has something to offer each visitor.

Pine Bluff Symphony

An outstanding string program was begun in the Pine Bluff public schools in 1980, and this resulted in the formation of a youth orchestra. The Pine Bluff Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1987, to give these students an opportunity to improve and continue their skills and to raise their sights in life -- both now and in the future. Many of the Pine Bluff Symphony Orchestra members are local residents (including some of these students) who are sharing their talents and helping expose our community to a quality of music we would rarely hear otherwise.

The Community Theatre Museum is the oldest one-screen theatre still operating in Arkansas. The museum shows vintage films, hosts a lecture series and hosts "Wednesday Off Main" each week.
