Activities in Pine Bluff are plentiful – we have something for everyone! Once you’re here you will immediately notice our revitalized downtown, which has helped Pine Bluff gain the reputation as Arkansas’ City of Murals. You might spend the day visiting our many museums, tour our historic homes or attend one of the numerous events at Saracen Landing or Southeast Arkansas’ largest convention facility, the Pine Bluff Convention Center.

Great places to dine and shop round out a visit to Pine Bluff. It doesn’t matter whether you are here for business or pleasure – or your stay in Pine Bluff is short or long, Pine Bluff is a great place to be!

James Hayes is a Pine Bluff native and professional glass blower. You can tour his shop and see the treasure trove of extraordinary glass works in an astounding array of brilliant colors and remarkable shapes. Some of Mr. Hayes’ honors include an invitation from the White House to design a Christmas tree ornament, designing gifts for the 2003 Lt. Governor’s Conference and the design of the 2001 Governor’s Arts Awards. Mr. Hayes will also provide demonstrations for scheduled tours.

Japanese Garden

The Japanese Garden, located at the Pine Bluff Civic Center, was a gift from Pine Bluff’s Sister City, Iwai City, Japan. This garden was designed on the traditional principles of Japanese Gardens by five Master Japanese Gardeners. It is referred to (by signage) as the International Friendship Garden, two-thirds of which consist of a large berm with trees and shrubs on it, along with a strip of white pea gravel representing a River of Friendship, followed by a grassy area representing the lowlands of Japan.

The Pine Bluff Municipal Airport/Grider Field Airport is located just south of Pine Bluff on US Highway 65 near US Highway 425 and serves as a general aviation facility. The Pine Bluff School of Aviation, established by the U.S. Army Air Corps, trained over 9,000 pilots for World War II. See restored aircraft hangars, barracks, monument, memorabilia and World War II aircraft. Tours by appointment only. Admission is free.

Sissy’s Log Cabin

Established in 1970, Sissy’s Log Cabin has become a gathering place for customers from all over the nation. Sissy’s is famous nationally for fine jewelry, Victorian antiques and estate pieces.
